OUR INSPIRATION

ABOUT CALM
Behind the Discussions
From the beginning, CALM has been driven by the interests and involvement of our incredible and engaged community of Catholic mothers who met while attending St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Our goal was to create a space where all Catholic moms could gather together to have meaningful and fun discussions that are relatable and driven by our Catholic beliefs. We hope to be a great resource and supportive community to all Catholic local moms attending CALM meetings.
CALM LEADERS
Where the Passion Begins

Carolyn Brown
Carolyn is a full time homeschool mother to three little miracles. She was a teacher for ten+ years and has been involved with MOPs for the last nine years. She has read far too many parenting books, only to discover that some of the best advice comes from other like-minded moms who have “been there”. Saint Rose of Lima has been her home parish since birth. Carolyn is eager to create a safe space where moms can learn, grow, share, and never be afraid to ask questions.

Candice Knips
Candice is a full time mother of 3 and primary grades co-op teacher. While she is a seasoned dance and fitness professional her real passion lies in cultivating a community that supports mothers.
Baptized at the age of 2 and confirmed at the age of 27, her Catholic journey is a little different than most. None the less, she strives to become the best version of herself through prayer, faith formation, and service to others.

Stephanie Molina
Stephanie Molina is a cradle Catholic, family photographer, and homeschool mom to twin 6-year-old girls and a 2-year-old son. Through the joys and challenges of motherhood, she has developed a deep appreciation for the sacredness of family life and the sanctifying grace found in everyday moments. She believes Catholic mothers were never meant to walk this journey alone and is passionate about fostering a welcoming community where women can grow in faith, be encouraged in their vocation, and find genuine friendship and support.

Colleen Dawson Murray
Colleen is a poet and writer and full-time mom to her three daughters. She has her MFA in Creative Writing from Seattle Pacific University and her work has appeared in Verily Magazine, Breakwater Review, Ruminate Magazine, and St. Katherine’s Review. Having been a part of several different Catholic charisms and organizations over the course of her life, she’s enjoying the simplicity and beauty that comes with a local and parish-based spiritual community, especially in her vocation to motherhood.

Alyssa West
Alyssa West is a former first-grade teacher turned full-time mom to two girls and one on the way. In her twenties, she experienced a profound reversion to the truth and beauty of the Catholic faith, which deeply shaped her life and motherhood. Since then, Alyssa has been passionate about serving others, fostering authentic Catholic community, and learning alongside other mothers as they grow in faith and vocation.
